Nou Lee

Nou Lee is of counsel at the Law Office of Kou Lor.  Her practice areas include personal injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith litigation.

Prior to working with the Law Office of Kou Lor, Nou was an attorney at Ericksen Arbuthnot, a California defense law firm serving as panel counsel to several Fortune 500 insurance companies.  At Ericksen Arbuthnot, she defended insurance companies and their insureds in cases involving catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, and professional liability.

Nou has experience in all stages of litigation, including first-chair trial experience and writs.  She has prepared a successful petition for writ of mandate in the California Court of Appeal.

A native of Modesto, Nou graduated from Thomas Downey High School in 2001.  Subsequently, she attended UC San Diego on a full-ride scholarship, where she studied Political Science/Public Law.  She then attended law school at UC Hastings.  During law school, Nou clerked for Curtis & Arata, a full service law firm in Modesto.  In addition, she was the Development Editor and Senior Notes Editor for the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal. 

Nou speaks, reads, and writes Hmong.  She is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and a board member of River Oak Center for Children.  In her spare time, Nou enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and cooking.

In 2023, Nou was named to the Northern California Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for attorneys who exhibit excellence in their practice.  The Rising Stars list, a distinction for attorneys who are 40 or younger or who have been in practice for 10 years or less, includes no more than 2.5% of lawyers in California.  In addition, she made Forbes Advisor's list of ten Best Personal Injury Lawyers in Sacramento of 2024.
